3. The first deaths occur as Mossad and or CIA have taken care of Nuclear scientists in Iran which increases the likelyhood of retaliation sharply as Ahmadineschad looks weak especially with the slap into his face through Wikleads today. This is just the beginning and not a coincidence it comes with the Wiki-leaking. If Wikileak would be a real threat to the US government those people would have died mysterious deaths long ago in accidents or sudden illness we can assume.

Iranian Nuclear Scientist Killed, Second Physicist Injured in Bomb Attacks

Iran Scientist Killed Today Worked on Nuclear Project

A physicist involved in Iran’s nuclear program was killed in a bombing in Tehran and another scientist was injured in a second blast, authorities said.

Majid Shahriari died early today as he was heading to his teaching job at Shahid Beheshti University, state-run news agencies including Mehr reported. Fereydoun Abasi, a physicist at the same university, was injured along with his wife, Mehr said. The bombs were attached to their cars by magnets, Hossein Sajedinia, Tehran’s police chief, was cited as saying by the official Islamic Republic News Agency.

“Majid Shahriari was one of my students for years and had a good cooperation with the organization,” Ali Akbar Salehi, head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Agency, told IRNA. “He was involved in one of the great projects of the organization.”

Iran is under international pressure over its nuclear program, which the U.S. and allies say is a cover for building atomic weapons. Iran rejects the allegation and says it needs nuclear technology for civilian purposes. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this month that Iran should know that “all options are on the table” to halt the program.

Shahriari was a member of a regional scientific program known as Sesame, which includes Israel as a member, according to the project’s website. He succeeded Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, an Iranian scientist who also died in an attack, the Tehran-based Asre-Iran website, which is close to the government, said today. Ali-Mohammadi, a professor of elementary particle physics, was killed in January by a bomb planted outside his home in Tehran.

Obama To Freeze Government Salaries At All Time High

In 10 minutes the teleprompter in chief will announce that he is about to freeze government salaries for two years. Of course, government workers thank him, as this means federal salaries which have exploded in the past 5 years will be stuck at all time highs for at least two years, even as nominal salaries for everyone else (except FIRE workers of course) continue to decline. As we suggested a few days ago, in order to promote some vaguely credible idea of austerity, instead of freezing salaries, Obama needs to be cutting. Why? One look at the chart below explains it all.

brainstorming monday - part 1

1. WikiLeads will reveal and trigger some very extreme things this is part of the Uranus stationary but the square will bring harsh reactions probably even out of control. Definetly some people will die this week and we might even not hear about it as some will be busy closing leaks. On the other hand with the brief flow of info I had so far I have the impression some of them are rather leaked by purpose by the USA to create some momentum and actions they like to get.
The fact that the chief of the revolutionary guards hit Ahmadineschad into his face is quite a provocation if true or not and aimed at intensifying fraction which might exist. ( only found that in German so far)

excerpt

More on that as a lot of info unfolds and we get a bigger picture but it will stir up a lot of hostility around the world - that is save to say so far.

2. Trouble in EU and for financial markets rising as now all EU credits are under attack and the 1.30 level is almost reached but I am afraid to say it will not hold there - we are biased to an exaggeration as panic mode is what astrology does tell is the theme of this week and probably also next week

European CDS Bloodbath Increasingly Threatens Core

Perhaps if CNBC could pretend for a second that there was more to the economy than (disappointing) Black Friday channel checks it would realize that there is a complete massacre in European CDS spreads. At last check the Iberian Peninsula was the target of a tactical CDS nuke, with Spanish and Portuguese CDS widening by 23 and 36 bps respecitvely, to 354 and 538 bps. The second tier of bailoutees is also expected: Belgium and Italy, both of which are wider by just over 16 bps, hitting 178 and 232 bps. And lastly, even the core is no longer safe, as Austria and Germany were both about 5% wider to 87 and 50 bps each. Bases are widening as cash bonds are lagging today. The reason for the move, which should be completely expected to all Zero Hedge readers, is as Market News reports, that "a growing school of thought believes that - without major debt restructuring for Ireland - the current solution is just buying time. Many traders also fear that the interest rate applied to the new cash of 5.83% is unmanageable for the Irish economy." In other words start your Portugal, Spain, Belgium, Austria bailout countdown timer.

NDX update - very volatile days ahead

NDX has completed the Seq 13 as well as of Wednesday on a green day 4 hence a corrective day 5-6 would be a regular reaction and the futures do confirm that so far. It is quite tricky these days but the B wave up is not finished yet as APPLE has still a bit upside scope. Same is true for the SPX and the VIX has not produced the one close below 18 yet we need to complete the 13 count. As on Sunday the 4 days joined war games between South Korea and USA starts exactly as Mars in Sagittarius squares the Jupiter Uranus Conjunction. That is a very dangerous constellation as uncontrolled eruption of violence or military confrontation is the energy lingering throughout the whole week. On top of that Uranus goes stationary on the 5th Dec which bring the whole into an even more dangerous level. The next 2 weeks will be full of negative tensions and any relief rally on Monday because nothing happened will be rather an opportunity to sell short as it will get rather worse and some violence is very likely. We can expect big volatility and wild market swings for the next 2 weeks which will mark a wave 4 low early to mid Dec. in general. The NDX though should make a different play as it will be the first to make a major top - have that in mind as a lot of expectations have been baked into the holiday shopping and the return of the consumer so even a good weekend shopping should not be overrated but could be the reason though for a relief rally on Monday. The reason is that consumers might feel overconfident for a few days as Mars squares Jupiter which means basically overacting or exaggerating - hence the chances for a good Black Friday weekend are high but does not reflect the real state of the economy. NDX should be sold between 2160 and 2200 and wave C down will produce a low close to 2000-40 region.

EURO update

Well sometimes the golden cross does not work out as can be expected. Euro turned around at the expected level around 1.43 and is now heading for the 1.30 target or rather a test of the 200 day MA around 1.31 but the travel will not be smooth from now on as 1.3350 level might be a good support short term. Next 2 weeks will produce huge volatility in all markets as Uranus goes stationary on the 5th and Mars will start squaring the Jupiter/ Uranus conjunction next week which is bad news as the Korea situation will likely escalate plus all kind of events can be expected shaking literally the nerves from earthquakes to attacks of any kind. In the 1.30-1 area cover shorts and get even long the EURO again. The weekly and monthly charts suggest we are locked into the 1.30-40 range for the next weeks as the final rally in stocks should start early to mid Dec ( week after 5th).

brainstorming monday

1. The sentiment numbers seem t have come a bit lower but the most complex one and also with most impact in my book is the last one here the graph from Citi which has reached the highest reading in years. Another very intriguing fact in order to get short term bearish this week and also very bearish soon after wave 5 of 5 is done early next year is that VIX has dropped to our required level of 18 again making a daily count 12. A close below 18today should produce the 13 count and activate this time Defcon 1 for the SPX and DOW this week as we are about to complete wave B up in the Thanksgiving week followed by a wave C down thereafter.

Time-Lapse Video Of Food Stamp Participation Rates During The "New Normal"

Tyler Durden's picture

With everyone chanting the praises of the "better than abysmal" economy, we decided to post a time lapse video (since cartoons are all that stand an even remote chance of attracting some attention) prepared by John Lohman, of just how the New Normal has been progressing, both since the starts of the great depression in December 2007, and more importantly, since the beginning of the "end" of the recession. The result may surprise you. As John points out: food stamps - the only thing keeping 43 million Americans from going postal." Hopefully the end of extended unemployment benefits coming December 1 won't be that first one additional straw on the camel's back that leads to a full blown fracture.
